Coaching Volunteer Positions

Coaching Positions Available:

Team Manager: The team manager runs the team. They are responsible for running practice and taking care of all the equipment. They also make all team decisions during games (ex. pitcher, line-up, etc.). The manager is also the person for parents to talk to. They interact with both the parents of players and the PVLL board members.

Head Coach: The head coach is second in command. During the game they warm up the pitchers, get batters ready, and help the catcher with gear along with other things. They are responsible for keeping players in line. The head coach is also a base coach when team is up to bat. If there is ever a time that the team manager can't be there then the head coach assumes their responsibilities.

Assistant Coach: The assistant coach is there to help wherever needed. During practice they help run drills and during games keep the players in line in the dugout. They are also responsible for keeping score for their team during the games and base coaches when needed.

Other Volunteer Opportunities

Platte Valley Little League is also looking for more volunteers. If you would like to volunteer for any of these positions please get register or get ahold of us at [email protected].

Umpire: Be ready to make some calls and help in the fields. There will be a meeting before season begins to go over things that umpires will need to know.

Scorekeeper: We are always looking for volunteers who are ready to keep score or keep track of pitch count. If the demand is high and needed, a meeting can be arranged to teach volunteers how to do so.
